Sunshine’s Macro Monday #36
~~~
As I was finishing up a walk in the woods last week I almost walked past these milkweed pods…before I noticed them camouflaged in the fallen leaves.
Somehow staying intact through winter’s rain and snow.
Looking down has its advantages.
Oh, my! These are lovely. π
Beautiful photo — I love this plant. It grows copiously here and it’s so wonderful to watch the butterflies.
Thank you Martha π I haven’t noticed it much here before, but I will now be on the lookout – since it sounds like a hangout for butterflies?
Oh my gosh, that’s gorgeous!! I agree, looking down has advantages…maybe you’ll find some money…or escape a fall because I stepped around the gravel π
You captured its delicacy! I started growing milkweed two years ago and they finally flowered last summer!
