This post inspired by Frank at Dutch goes the Photo
The prompt: Layer
One very windy November afternoon in 2016…
Layer upon layer of loud angry waves crashed toward shore
Lining up one right after the other…
Relentless.
Matching rhythm with my steps
As I paced up and down the beach
That day.
Head down bracing for the gusts
As I pounded through the sand
Relentless.
Trying to make sense
Of the path ahead.

Hampton Beach, NH
Wow! These layers are so distinct and powerful-looking. Perfect for this theme. ❤

Very visceral! Been there too, maybe not the same beach but the same thoughts and emotions. Xx

Thank you- yes, the beach, especially in the off season months, is a perfect place to be with my thoughts. Just a few other walkers doing the same.

Do you have life changes coming up?

Thank you for your comment! Yes, at the time I took that photo I had some major life changes ahead of me. I also took that walk on the beach a few days after the national election. Much to think about.

From your snap, it seems like waves didn’t bothered to wait at all. They look so eager to hit the beach 🙂
