Thanks! So do I. This one is just like the ones we used to have growing right next to our former home. Those had originated from my great grandmother’s garden. They went from hers to my parents’ house and then to mine. When we moved we were not able to take any with us.

😦 Those are really classical irises. I don’t have them here, either, but I did growing up, my grandma grew them and my aunt and my parents.

i love the stripes on the two sides — I don’t think I’ve ever noticed those before on an iris. Your eye goes right to them.

Some lovely color on a dreary fall day for me 🙂 I planted a bunch of Iris bulbs a couple weeks ago – we’ll see how they do come spring!
