I think I’d like to have “heard” more from the ones on the ground … maybe that’s my writer-self wanting to create a dialogue between those two stages of tomato-hood. And oh yes, yum indeed, and lovely framing!
We’re supposed to get frost next Tuesday. I’ll be making tomato sauce tomorrow. I hate it when there are new, promising green ones on the vine. I want them all to have a chance. I guess I taught too long. 😀
Even the late bloomers deserve a chance! It makes perfect sense – maybe they can ripen on your window sill, although they’ll miss the sauce opportunity. At least it’s not snow on Tuesday. 🙂
