That is one of my favourite winter scenes. I can almost hear the silence. In a two week span we have gone from -40 c to +10 c., only to get warmer over the next couple of days and now we have ice everywhere…not my favourite winter scene at all.
Thank you. It is a favorite of mine too. Quiet and peaceful. Iβll take snow over ice any day! Drastic temperature changes like that can be a real challenge.
Nice shadows!

Thanks! It was that late-in-the-day light (my favorite).

Bear and my dream. It’s 53 here today.

Yes, you both would love these woods in the snow. I, on the other hand, am looking forward to 53. π

53 has been good. I’ve finally gotten the ice out of my driveway.

Well, that’s a good thing! Driveway ice is not fun.

It was 2 inches thick…. :O

Oh WOW! 2 inches – thatβs crazy – and dangerous. Good riddance!

Yep. The snow from the yard (south side of fence) melted under the fence (north side). Really annoying.

Mmmm…sounds like a skating rink opportunity. Or just annoying. I vote for annoying.

Beautiful shadows. I see a little bit blue sky behind the trees, and I love the angle you took for this snow scene.

Thank you Amy. The shadows in the late day sun (yes that was blue sky in the background!) stopped me on my walk. A photo moment π

You’re most welcome, but thanks for your kind words too. It means a lot to know you see what I see. π
