Right before dark

Inspired by Frank at Dutch goes the Photo: Spread

Given the current pandemic, I thought it might be of interest to take a different approach to the theme of Spread… While the spread of a virus is not welcome, a nice dinner spread or bread spread or even bed spread might be appreciated!

I love this time of day…

spreading clouds

right before dark.

Even with clouds spread overhead…

glimmers of light sift through.

I like to think of it as the blanket effect.

Comforting and safe underneath.

  1. This is so good–love that you offered us some very positive “spreads”, and the photo is beyond lovely! Hope you’re doing okay–seems like you’ve been extra quiet lately (and my default is to think I may have said the wrong thing).

    1. Oh my goodness, you didn’t say the wrong thing! On the contrary, I always look forward to your comments. Thanks again for your kind words. My life has been in a bit of an emotional uproar. It’s hard to channel thoughts into blogging when that happens. You’re quite intuitive to pick up on it 🙂

      1. Thank you for the reassurance–and I’m more sorry than I can express that there’s been “uproar”…I recall you mentioning that one of your sisters was having a health crisis–is she doing better? You and all your family have a special place on my prayer list, if that helps at all. Much love ❤ Leslie 🙂

      2. Thanks Leslie for your support across the miles. My sister is still in crisis mode and, well, it’s complicated as family matters can be. That and the personal fallout from the current virus pandemic. So one day at a time!

      3. Oh gosh…I abhor “complicated”… Yes, you have a way-too-full plate, and one day is all anyone can manage at a time. You’re more than welcome to any support I can provide (though I only email with one blogger I met in 2011–if that would help you, let me know and I’ll provide my email address). Hold steady ❤

      4. I’ll be okay, thank you though. I have to remember the “one day at a time” mantra. As well as realizing how much I can actually do to help, while also maintaining healthy boundaries. A balancing act for sure 🙂

      5. Yes, all of life is a balancing act–and for those of us “of a certain age”, physical balance issues add to the mix! 🙂
