This post inspired by Fandango’s Friday Flashback – January 31
Wouldn’t you like to expose your newer readers to some of your earlier posts that they might never have seen? Or remind your long term followers of posts that they might not remember?..Why don’t you reach back into your own archives and highlight a post that you wrote on this very date in a previous year?

Upside-Down
This post inspired by V.J.’s Weekly Challenge #33: Upside-Down
upside down: • in or into total
disorder or confusion
right side up…
everything
in its place.
comforting clarity…
safety wrapped around
believing.
blind trust.
knowing what’s to come
until sucker punched…
tilting.
lights dimming
without a map…
spinning…
belonging
nowhere.
losing balance…
tumbling alone.
crashing
into
a
blank slate…
the new reality.
upside-down
learning to focus
all over again.
Fun to revisit old posts! This is a good one.

Thanks V.J. – it is also interesting thinking back on life a year ago.

An apt description of what it is like to have one’s world turned upside-down!

Life’s sucker punches are hard to take!

Yes they sure are.

I love this poem…it has some similarity to my poem’s line about being jostled, knocked off peace-perch temporarily. The sucker punches are real, and not fun–the unpredictability factor shakes us to the core. But we are a resilient lot, aren’t we? Women of great strength.

Thank you. Those sucker punches is where we really need that strength. I guess the resilience grows from there.

Yes, I believe you’re right, my friend. I usually feel “totaled” at first…but eventually see that I’m stronger.
