Choose my favorite photographs of 2019?
That’s a tough one (which I made a bit easier by not including family photos).
I managed to pare it down to 15(!). It was an especially exciting year as I dove into the world of macro photography. An additional photographic challenge.
I am curious…which one is your favorite?

15: Last, but not least, back to where the year began…with the crunch of ice.

They are all quite lovely. The Magical Pond, though, captures for me the magic of one’s first glimpse in childhood of such a scene, stumbled across in the course of a woods walk or perhaps canoeing past a little offshoot pond. Such sights, when seen through the years, can lose that connection to one’s child soul … and this photo helps to bring it back.

Thank you. If I had to choose just one, that would be it. Perhaps that’s why…there is just something about that scene that drew me to it a number of times. I like your perspective on it. 🙂
