Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Glasses, Cups or Saucers
~~~
Cases of stemmed glassware caught my eye at the Shelburne Museum last summer.
They were on display at the museum’s “General Store” which contained artifacts from the early 1900s.
If these glasses could talk…
That’s a gorgeous collection of antique glass! My mother would go nutty for those. 😎
Thanks! I was impressed and that’s only a small representation of what was there.
Thanks! (think of the stories they could tell from dinner tables near and far!)
Gorgeous glassware! I had a set of Libby cobalt blue goblets (8-sided)–as well as another cobalt blue set of large tumblers (10-sided). Not expensive of course, but I loved them–only 1 of each set has survived. The ones you’ve displayed are exquisite, very fragile.
Thank you! They definitely looked very fragile – and were well protected in those cases. Your blue glasses sound so pretty!
