Our former home had a garden window and I enjoyed catching the light as it filtered through whatever flowers were displayed there.
This rose was part of a multi-colored bouquet I received from my son many birthdays ago.
He remembers yellow roses are my favorite.

On this dreary rainy day, it is time for a flower!
This is a closeup of a type of rose plant given to me a few years ago. Taken on a sunny day in July. My mystery flower! I’m just guessing it’s a rose.
Much to my astonishment I have kept it alive during our move to a rental and then to a condo. Hardy if nothing else. I wish I had not lost the directions on care and feeding…which also included its name. It likes lots of sun. That much I remember.

I don’t miss the yard work. I don’t miss the repairs. And I certainly don’t miss the snow shoveling.
But after downsizing to a condo, I do miss the flowers! These black-eyed susans appeared faithfully year after year – brightening our yard.
A (mostly!) white tulip in a beautiful bouquet inspired this photo. I had never seen one this color before. It far outlasted the rest of the flowers!
